Step 1: Kill SearchHost.exe Without Admin Privileges
You don't need administrator rights to stop processes running under your own user session.
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
Click the Details tab on the left sidebar (or top tab depending on view).
Scroll down and find SearchHost.exe.
Right-click SearchHost.exe and select End task.
Also find and end StartMenuExperienceHost.exe if listed.
Click your Search bar or press Win + S—Windows will auto-start a fresh instance under your user account.
