Looking for what’s next

I think it’s time for something new.

After being at the same spot for seven years, I’ve reached a point where I don’t see much room left for me to grow.

I’m looking for opportunities where my two worlds can meet: technology and visual art.

I’ve been building for the web since 1998, across engineering, architecture and technical leadership. Outside that, I work in photography, visual art and design.

I mean, sure, I’ve done plenty of backend APIs and some DevOps, and even more frontend. But did you know I sometimes used those skills to present art in galleries? To me, the Web is a platform as much as it can be an art form.

I’d love to find something where those technical and creative things don’t have to live separate lives.

And AI. Yes, of course, it’s part of what I use daily.

I’m based in Tokyo, but I’m open to international remote work too, whether that’s a full-time role or freelance/contract work. If it’s in an office, Shibuya or Shinjuku is preferable. I live in Hatagaya and like to bike to work.

I have permanent residency in Japan, so I don’t need visa sponsorship.

I’m looking at starting something new around mid-January or February 2027. There’s no huge rush. I’d rather find the right thing.

If you think you have something, or just know some people I should meet, let’s talk.
