Key codes for MAN TGX
MAN TGX key blanks and codes differ from other large truck models. For instance, Freightliner began using a new FT1001-FT3000 series of codes in 2003. Meanwhile, Peterbilt and Kenworth used the P0001-P1500 series in 2011. International trucks also have their own code system, so it's essential to look through the owner's manual for specific details about the keys and codes that are compatible with your particular model.
Each MAN TGX Key comes with an individual bitting code. This code is utilized in conjunction with the key's Depth and Spacing Number to determine the exact dimensions of its cuts. A Bitting Code of 11111 and a Depth & Spacing Number of 48 for example, indicates that the key has five deep cuts.
