Today's Work: Continuing Seasonal Display Logic
I continued working on the logic that switches product display based on the date , which was a task I started yesterday.
While I managed to get the basic structure working, I haven’t yet added detailed product data.
Even at this point, I’m not satisfied with how it’s turning out.
Rather than force it through, I decided to pause and switch to other tasks for the day.
Improving the Furusato Tax Return Page
I added important notes for customers to keep in mind when purchasing via the Furusato Nozei (hometown tax return) program.
To make the page more visually appealing and informative, I also added the following:
- A reference photo that shows asparagus size
- Product images
- Photos of cooked dishes
These changes help provide clarity and strengthen the appeal of the product.
Started Structuring the Purchase Options Page
Finally, I began working on the product listing page that introduces all four external e-commerce sites.
Each of these sites has its own strengths, pricing structure, and features.
Today, I managed to outline and compare the characteristics of each platform.
That’s where I had to stop due to time, but it sets up tomorrow’s task nicely.
Next Steps
- Continue developing the purchase options page
- Revisit and reconsider the seasonal display logic for better flexibility and maintainability
- Add detailed product data once the logic is refined
Progress may feel slow, but each step is building toward a more robust, clear, and user-friendly site.
