- What I Built
I built StudyBuddy AI, an AI-powered personal study partner designed for college students.
I created this project for a college friend who spends a lot of time going through large PDF notes before exams. The goal was to turn those study materials into an interactive AI-powered learning assistant.
With StudyBuddy AI, students can:
- Ask questions about their uploaded PDF notes
- Explain difficult topics in simple language
- Generate revision summaries
- Generate exam-style MCQs
- Generate important exam questions
- Create personalized study plans
- Take interactive quizzes
- Use open-weight AI models

2. The Problem
College students often face several challenges while preparing for exams:
- Large lecture PDFs and study materials
- Multiple subjects to prepare
- Difficult technical concepts
- Limited time before examinations
- Difficulty identifying important topics
- Lack of a personalized study schedule
- Limited opportunities to test their preparation
Students often use different tools for each of these tasks.
I wanted to bring these activities together into one simple application.
3. The Solution
StudyBuddy AI allows a student to upload a PDF containing their study material.
The application processes the notes and provides several AI-powered learning features:
- Question answering from notes
- Simple explanations
- Revision summaries
- Multiple-choice questions
- Important exam questions
- Personalized study plans
- Interactive quizzes
The goal is to provide a single study workspace where students can understand, revise, practice, plan, and test their knowledge.
