1. What I Built

I built StudyBuddy AI, an AI-powered personal study partner designed for college students.

I created this project for a college friend who spends a lot of time going through large PDF notes before exams. The goal was to turn those study materials into an interactive AI-powered learning assistant.

With StudyBuddy AI, students can:

• Ask questions about their uploaded PDF notes
• Explain difficult topics in simple language
• Generate revision summaries
• Generate exam-style MCQs
• Generate important exam questions
• Create personalized study plans
• Take interactive quizzes
• Use open-weight AI models

2. The Problem

College students often face several challenges while preparing for exams:

• Large lecture PDFs and study materials
• Multiple subjects to prepare
• Difficult technical concepts
• Limited time before examinations
• Difficulty identifying important topics
• Lack of a personalized study schedule
• Limited opportunities to test their preparation

Students often use different tools for each of these tasks.

I wanted to bring these activities together into one simple application.

StudyBuddy AI allows a student to upload a PDF containing their study material.

The application processes the notes and provides several AI-powered learning features:

The goal is to provide a single study workspace where students can understand, revise, practice, plan, and test their knowledge.
