Honestly, I feel much more comfortable working with Phaser than Unity. I guess it's mainly because it feels closer to my usual work: Everything is handled by code, I can use VSCode, don't have to learn how to use a new IDE, etc.
Of course, Unity is more powerful, and it probably has a bunch of advantages over Phaser as an engine, but since I'm just starting to make games for fun, it's nice to do it in an environment that feels so familiar.
Wonderful!
I created some basic Unity games while in college as well years ago, and I’ve had my eye on Phaser for a while now.
It seems very attractive for TypeScript web devs who want to makes games but not get into a big physics engine like unity or unreal engine.
Have you found it more pleasant than Unity now that you’ve been playing with Phaser for a bit now?

100%
This is what is drawing me to Phaser.
You have all these skills you can reuse from the web. It’s great when you can just get stuck in!
Looking forward to seeing a blog post on one of your creations 😎
