2.Usage Method 1: Ready-to-Use Right Out of the Box
Power on the display upon receipt, enter Parameter Settings → Quick Calibration or Standard Calibration → Connect the sensor for data acquisition
Note: "Quick Calibration" is a database calibrated by our company using a pressure testing machine in the lab, provided only as a quick reference. Other unlisted models require standard calibration. Additionally, thin film pressure sensors are influenced by actual application environments and methods. For more precise data, perform standard calibration based on your specific usage.
3.Usage Method 2: Connecting to a Computer
3.1 Wired Data Acquisition Communication
Supports simultaneous computer connection for data acquisition, range adjustment, calibration, pressure curve display, data storage, and parameter settings.

3.2 Wireless Data Acquisition Communication
By pairing with a wireless serial transmission kit, wireless communication between the display module and devices like computers/PLCs can be achieved.
Supports not only one-to-one wireless communication but also one-to-many.

4.Computer Software Usage
Open the software, select the port number (if the port number is not displayed in the dropdown, you can manually enter it), and connect to start using it.

The top-left corner of the software features a graph display function for viewing pressure curves.

5.Networking Methods
5.1 Wired Networking Method
[Step 1]
Set Address Number: Before networking, each display must be assigned an address number (configured via software or commands).
[Step 2]
Wiring: Connect all GND/RXD/TXD pins together, resulting in 3 wires linked to the TTL serial module's GND/RXD/TXD
pins (note: RXD and TXD must be cross-connected).
[Step 3]
PC Communication: Connect to the computer software via the serial module, enter the data collection interface, and collect data from the corresponding address number.
Device Communication: Connect to the TTL device and send commands to the corresponding address number to receive data.

5.2 Wireless Networking Method

5.3 Fully Wireless Networking Method
[Step 1]
Set Address Number: Before networking, each display must be assigned an address number (configured via software or commands).
[Step 2]
Wiring: Each display comes with an independent wireless transmitter—connect GND to -, V to +, and cross-connect RXD/TXD to T/R.
[Step 3]
PC Communication: Use the wireless receiver module to connect to the computer software via USB, enter the data collection interface, and collect data from the corresponding address number.
Device Communication: Cross-connect the wireless receiver's TXD/RXD to the TTL device. The receiver requires power; send commands to the corresponding address number to receive data.

6.Sensor Replacement Guide
The display module supports various thin-film pressure sensors. Due to the wide range of models, our store only stocks commonly used ones. For other specifications, consult customer service for a model list.
Note: After replacing the sensor with a different model, recalibrate it in the software (or via the Quick Calibration Database in the parameter settings menu).
"Quick Calibration" is a database pre-calibrated by our company using a press machine in the lab, serving as a quick reference. Other unlisted models require manual standard calibration.

"Standard Calibration" cannot be performed on the display; it requires connection to PC software for free calibration.
7.Sensor Usage Recommendations
7.1 Sensor Characteristics and Working Principles

7.2 Sensor Usage Precautions
(1) Thin-film pressure sensors cannot measure with high precision and are not suitable for weighing applications; they are only suitable for measuring pressure trend changes;
(2) The sensor cannot withstand direct impact or vibration, as this may affect the elastic substrate and metal film, compromising measurement accuracy;
(3) The sensor should be installed on the surface of the measured object, and excessive bending or folding should be avoided;
(4) The operating environment of the sensor should avoid excessively high or low temperatures, and measurements should be conducted within the normal temperature range;
(5) When wiring the sensor, ensure pin short-circuit isolation protection, otherwise, the sensor's electrical performance may be affected;
(6) When the sensor is applied to human skin, since the skin is conductive, isolation measures should be taken for the sensor pins to avoid abnormal readings. Prolonged short circuits may damage the sensor;;
(7) The sensor is not waterproof and should not be used in liquid environments or exposed to liquids;
(8) The sensor cannot withstand sharp object pressing, and shear forces or pressures exceeding 10N/mm² may also damage the sensor;
(9) The sensor should not be overused, as exceeding its designed lifespan may reduce measurement accuracy or damage the sensor.
7.3 Sensor Usage Recommendations
(1) Maintain realistic expectations: Thin-film pressure sensors are not strain gauges or load cells. They cannot measure with high precision, so it is necessary to optimize the consistency of the measurement and triggering system. During manufacturing, repeatability can be improved to narrow the accuracy range to 6% to ±30%.
(2) Select the appropriate sensor size: The size and shape of thin-film pressure sensors significantly affect measurement performance. When evaluating these sensors, it is essential to choose a suitable mechanical actuation system, as changing the actuation method can achieve different response characteristics.
(3) Design a repeatable and consistent mechanical actuation system: When designing the triggering mechanism, follow these guidelines to achieve optimal repeatability:
Ensure the force applied to the sensor is consistent. The response of thin-film pressure sensors is highly sensitive to whether the applied force is evenly distributed. Do not rely solely on weight to evaluate sensor performance, as it is difficult to ensure the weight is placed in the exact same position. Achieving consistent weight (force) distribution is more challenging than achieving a consistent total applied weight (force). Identical force distribution maximizes sensor repeatability. Always use a thin elastomer between the applied force and the thin-film pressure sensor, as it can absorb errors caused by inconsistent force distribution.
Maintain consistency in the force actuator's area, shape, and material properties. Variations in parameters such as the force actuator's area, shape, and material properties can significantly alter the response of the thin-film pressure sensor. Any testing, modeling, or evaluation conditions should replicate the final real-world usage scenario. The better the consistency of these parameters, the higher the repeatability of the device. In human-machine interaction applications, fingers act as force actuators, and it is often impossible to perfectly control these parameters. However, human perception of force is imprecise, making such inconsistencies more tolerable.
