This week in COSS: On the funding front, Databricks raised $3 billion at a $188 billion valuation, extending its position as one of the most highly valued private companies in AI, while MyDecisive emerged from stealth with $12 million in seed funding and launched SmartHub, its open-source foundation for enterprise IT operations, alongside Octant, a commercial product suite built on that platform.

On the M&A and partnership front, Prefect acquired Dagster Labs to combine their open-source orchestration platforms, Aiven acquired Flow AI to bring agent infrastructure closer to production data, TrueFoundry acquired Seldon's business and customers to create a unified control plane for enterprise AI, and Vercel acquired Stakpak.

In other news, the eBPF Foundation added Meta and Toyota as new members, Nvidia announced an open-source security partnership to address rogue AI agents, Mattermost and Virtru announced a strategic partnership in defense technology, and Moonshot AI's Kimi K3 launch was so popular it exhausted GPU capacity and forced the company to pause new subscriptions within 48 hours.

We also feature the following companies in Cossmology: authentik, Diagrid, HyperDX, MyDecisive, Seldon, Stakpak, Subtrace, TinaCMS, Tiptap, and Whereobots.
