Set JVM Timezone when running JUnit 5 tests

Problem

When compiling Java projects by Jenkins, unit tests will be run by Jenkins agent. The agent may be installed in a Docker container, and the system timezone of the container is always set to UTC. Test case will fail if the timezone of the testing environment is not the same as the application.

Solution

Add following into Maven's pom.xml file

<build>
  <plugins>
    <!-- other plugins ... -->
    <plugin>
      <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
      <artifactId>maven-surefire-plugin</artifactId>
      <configuration>
        <argLine>@{argLine} -Duser.timezone=Europe/London</argLine>
      </configuration>
    </plugin>
 </plugins>
</build>
