🎬🍿 Kicking Off Summer with Some Netflix Vibes… but Make It Machine Learning! 🌞🤖
As summer vacation begins, I decided to blend fun with functionality by building something exciting:
📌 A Movie Recommendation System — powered by collaborative filtering!
Why just binge movies when you can build the algorithm behind the binge? 😄
🔍 What I built:
✅ User-based & item-based collaborative filtering
✅ Cosine similarity to find “movie twins”
✅ A mini Netflix-style experience (yep, it’s on Streamlit!)
✅ Trained on the TMbd dataset — just like real platforms!
🎯 Goal: Recommend movies based on your favourite movies — personalized and smart.
📊 Tools used: Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn, Streamlit, and lots of 🍿.
