AWS UG Pune Meetup May 2023 - AWS Security Essentials

AWS User Group Pune and HashiCorp User Group Pune collaborated to host an outstanding security meetup for the tech community in Pune last Saturday on 17th May 2023. The purpose of this eagerly awaited event, which focused on AWS security, and was to increase awareness of cloud computing security, promote knowledge sharing, and solidify their connections with other security experts. The meetup was a huge success, leaving participants encouraged and eager for future gatherings. It featured a lineup of eminent speakers, an entertaining quiz portion, and a special employment support session.

The meetup was lined up with great speakers, Sandip Das, an AWS Hero, shared insights on security best practices on AWS using Terraform and provided precious steerage on making sure robust safety in cloud environments. It was great to learn from his experiences.

Vandana Verma, Security Relations Leader from Snyk, spoke on DevSecOps Fundamentals that supplied precious views on the evolving landscape of safety threats and shared about depth in defense security strategy. She also shared her experience working at OWASP Foundation.

Nilesh Vaghela, another AWS Hero, delved into AWS Cloud Security using Newton's three laws of Motion. This was such a great way to learn AWS Securityby involving concepts from Physics.

To further engage the audience and promote active learning, we incorporated an exciting quiz segment into the meetup, utilizing the Quizhub platform by KonfHub Technologies LLP. Led by Vishal Alhat ☁️, a quiz master, this interactive session challenged participants with thought-provoking questions related to AWS security. Attendees enthusiastically participated in the quiz, showcasing their knowledge and learning from their peers. The quiz not only tested their understanding of AWS security essentials but also served as a fun and interactive opportunity to reinforce key concepts.

Recognizing the importance of career growth and professional development within the AWS community, the meetup included a special job support session. This session provided a platform for job seekers and employers to connect, discuss potential opportunities, and explore collaborations. Blazeclan Technologies, the venue partner for the event, played a pivotal role in hosting this session. By bridging the gap between job seekers and employers, the meetup facilitated meaningful connections and opened doors for career advancements within the realm of AWS security.
