My First AWS certification

Hello everyone If you are reading this then you must be new to cloud or must be trying to achieve the cloud certification as a beginner. If so keep reading and I hope this blog will help you out during your first certification. Now AWS provides in total 11 cloud certification which are divided into categories like foundational, associate, professional and specialty. This post is mainly focused on the developer associate certificate of AWS which can be considered as beginner level.

A Little background

I am not completely new to the cloud domain. I was somewhat familiar with the basic concepts of cloud before this certification. If you want to clear some of the basic understanding regarding aws cloud you can take this totally free courses offered by aws here- link

Resources

There are plenty of resources available online free and paid both for the deep preparation of this exams. Here are few of them that helped me to pass the certification exam.

1.Official AWS Documentation - This is the best way to read and understand regarding the all the services provided by AWS link.

2.Udemy Courses- Udemy provides many paid courses for preparation of this exam but I have used the course by stephane maarek. The course structure is very well articulated and more than enough to score the passing marks in the exam link.

3.Test Series- The test series helps to test your knowledge before exam and have a firsthand experience of how the questions will appear in the real exam. Here is the link for test series offered by tutorialsdojo link.

4.AWS community- The AWS community on the reddit is very helpful and friendly. This community was a great help in my preparation of the exam link.

Tips and Tricks

1.Decide a proper timeline for completing certificate and study accordingly.

2.Hands-on experience of AWS console will be much more beneficial to you rather than only watching videos and tutorials, so open your AWS console and get your hands dirty in various services. keep the costs of various services in mind while doing this because you don't want any unnecessary bill on your AWS account.

3.Make notes while doing hands-on will come in handy during last phase of preparation.

4.AWS documentation, FAQs and white papers are great for deep understanding of each service.

Future

Moving forward I am interested in completing the other two associate level certificates which are solution architect and SysOps administrator. If you have liked this post let me know in the comments and your valuable feedback is always welcome from my side.
