We're doing alright here.
Lots of ups and downs since you've been gone. I'm lookin' at your post in April 2022 and assuming you took a break shortly after that...
In any case, we've gone through a few layoffs and our team is significantly smaller — truthfully, that has been painful and rough on morale. At the same time, we've made some really good updates to the platform over the past couple years, recentered ourselves to do more work on DEV (with less of a focus on Forem), and we're finding new, sustainable ways to make revenue.
We're all hanging in there and very much care about making DEV the best community we can. We're still trying to foster a community that is diverse, inclusive, kind, safe, respectful of our members' privacy, and a good resource for devs from any background. 💚
Hard times aren't necessarily bad times; they're times of change.
It's an exciting time to return to Dev.to, we might add! 😄
