Chronolog: SavePoint v1.79.1 Adds Discord Audio Quality Controls, Rebuilt Audio-Only Mode & Pre-Render Health Checks

SavePoint Station Manager v1.79.1 is out, with a substantial rebuild of Audio-Only Mode and new safeguards around video pre-rendering.

The biggest architectural change is in audio broadcasting. Previously, Audio-Only Mode started a new FFmpeg process as tracks changed. v1.79.1 replaces that with one continuous stream that stays active from the beginning of the broadcast until it stops.

That means cleaner track transitions, more reliable Discord playback, and live microphone sessions that can persist across multiple tracks.

Discord broadcasting also now supports configurable audio bitrate. SavePoint can match the voice channel automatically or use a fixed bitrate, with rates up to 384 kbps on Discord servers with the required Boost level.

On the video side, we ran into a different reliability problem: a pre-rendered file could have the expected size and duration while still containing damaged video that would fail during playback.

New pre-renders are now checked before they are put into service. We also added Verify Renders and Deep Verify tools so existing render libraries can be checked after upgrading, moving media or restoring a station.

v1.79.1 also includes fixes and improvements for Discord reconnects, audio monitoring, standby media, output mode changes, 9:16 exports and station settings.
