It depends with the interest of the person.
IMO the best thing is first you should select a path that you most passionate about. then you should master a skill at least 2 or more years. Ex: if you are interested in mobile development, you can get an experience as a mobile dev with native development or cross-platform development. after getting a good exposure , you can try another field. ex: web app development or backend development.
