We paid our own APIs end-to-end — and published the receipts
A 402 challenge is a price quote, not proof of delivery. Most x402 directories never run a server — they read a package, a repo, or a registry record, and take the seller's word for the rest.
ScriptMasterLabs doesn't take its own word for it either. So we paid every switched service in the fleet for real — proof wallet signs, our own facilitator (OMNIGATE) settles on Base, the service has to deliver — and graded each one on whether the money landed AND the response came back. Self-proof, labeled as such: this proves the pipes work, not that the market has spoken. The market evidence is separate, and it's below too.
The scoreboard
- 14 services settle-proven in the 2026-11-02 pass (executed ~17:49–17:54 UTC, close-out verified ~18:05 UTC). Twenty services were in scope: 14 settled and delivered, 1 settled with delivery unverified, 5 never paid — the proof wallet ran dry first (see below).
- Total spent proving it: $0.248 USDC from the fleet proof wallet (0x2DfF…b56D) to the fleet payTo (0x5BBd…328b2) — on-chain reconciliation is exact: 15 transfers out, $0.248 total, zero inbound.
- Failures, stated plainly: no service took payment and failed to settle. One service — Agent Browser — settled ($0.005) but the captured response body came back empty, so its delivery is unverified and it is NOT counted as proven below. Five services were not paid at all because the proof wallet's balance ran out (Candle Signal Pro, SML Agent Verify, GhostKey, Squeeze-Boss, ClaimGate — each presented a valid live challenge; finishing them takes exactly 0.5316 USDC more in the proof wallet).

What was already true before this pass
- URL-to-Markdown (SqueezeOS): $0.001/read, 234 settlement records — 10 to the active xPortal payTo plus 224 from earlier configurations. One thousand reads cost $1.00.
- Outside money is real, and it is not us: in the 24h to 2026-11-01, 13 external x402 payments / 0.054 USDC landed at the fleet payTo from wallets that appear in zero fleet records; the week of Oct 26 – Nov 1 scanned 275 transfers / 1.3088 USDC; running scanned total 351 transfers / 1.7676 USDC. Small money, honestly labeled — a working rail, not a victory lap.
- Verdict Protocol: $0.25/decide, $0.01/seal — proving settlements exist from 2026-10-12 on Base (blocks 52,522,538 / 52,522,552, SELF-PROOF).
- GhostKey: $0.10 per scoped session, 10 tools, counted live.
- ClaimGate: $0.25/check — a claim is SUPPORTED only at coherence ≥ 0.80 across ≥ 2 independent source families, else MIXED/UNVERIFIABLE. Never a guess.
- The fleet runs its own facilitators: OMNIGATE on Base (100 free settlements per payTo per day, then 0.005 USDC flat — a second payer-signed leg straight to the merchant wallet, no custody) and 402Proof on XRPL/Xahau. We are not a Coinbase tenant for settlement; the toll booth is ours.
- Coherence is the moat and it is one formula everywhere: weighted agreement across genuinely independent paths (|Σ w·d| / Σ w), gated at a stated threshold. Arc Coherent Gate measured 0.8125 (2026-10-25); PRO-LO's feed read 0.9047; each figure is quoted only where it was measured.
The proof table — 2026-11-02 pass
Route = each service's cheapest live route from the fleet's own payment-offers dataset (prices verified 2026-11-02). TX = the pass report's settlement hash for that service. A row reads PROVEN only where the pass report records settle + delivered response.

Adjacent, graded separately: Squeeze-Boss /signals ($0.10) was NOT paid in this pass — deferred by the proof-wallet balance; it stands challenge-verified only, settlement NOT proven. Bazaar Negotiator DID settle in the pass at a negotiated $0.01 (tx 0x1703a9977beeb08189a1a5eab5318c7adfb7773c33cff977d9f17315a7098747, SELF-PROOF, full offer → token → checkout flow) and is counted inside the 14 — but graded separately here because its pricing is negotiated, and its own service manifest still carries settlement_proven: false under the owner's standing no-self-funded-proof ruling for that record; the fleet dataset marks it proven with the SELF-PROOF label attached.
