Telegram Web is convenient, but it is also where many basic privacy mistakes happen. A browser can remember sessions, extensions can read pages, and shared computers may keep account access longer than expected.
Before logging in
Use a browser profile you control, confirm the domain, and avoid logging in from public computers. If you must use a temporary device, plan how you will end the session from your phone afterward.
A Chinese reference is available here: Telegram Web safety guide.
After logging in
Check active sessions, two-step verification, notification previews, file auto-download behavior, and whether the browser saved credentials. When the task is done, close the session from Telegram settings rather than only closing the tab.
The goal is simple: make Telegram Web a temporary tool, not an accidental permanent login on a device you do not control.
