Looking for a B2B social listening tool? You've come to the right place!
In here, we're comparing 3 major keyword tracking/social listening tools against Octolens, a social listening tool popular amongst VC backed startups.
For this comparison, the workload is ten tracked keywords on both platforms, plus API access. Prices are in USD, checked on October 26, 2026.
Le workfload
| Tool | Plan that fits | Monthly price | Main limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mentionkit | Base | $49 | 10 keywords in one project |
| Octolens | Pro | $199, or $159/month billed annually | 15,000 mentions; 10 keywords |
| KWatch | Enterprise | $199 | Business has only 5 LinkedIn keyword alerts; Enterprise has 25 |
| Syften | Confirm LinkedIn coverage first | No comparable total confirmed | Public pricing does not establish this LinkedIn workload |
Syften is the only platform with the widest variety of platforms at a relatively cheap pricing point.
Just pick the one that covers all the platforms your ICP hangs out on
Mentionkit's Base plan fits a single SaaS product with up to ten keywords. It includes Reddit, LinkedIn, AI filtering, API, MCP, and webhooks, with no published mention cap.
Octolens Pro costs more, but its plan includes a wider set of social and community platforms, analytics, two years of history, and hourly refresh.
Note that it has 15,000-mention allowance, this will quickly evaporate if you're tracking common word brand names.
For instance if your brand is a common english work like Apple, Valor, Basecamp, etc, you'll rack up this allowance quickly.
This pricing page lists $0.013 for each additional Pro mention and $10 for each extra keyword💸.
KWatch is also worth looking into when you want something simpler. Its per-platform keyword limits make the smaller plans less useful when LinkedIn is your only requirement.
Syften starts at $29.95 for Entry, with three community filters. Standard is $49.95 and adds AI filtering and more filters. Pro is $119.95 and adds MCP, archive API search, and webhooks. X and YouTube have separate add-ons on the paid plans. It starts cheap but the Pro plan is the only usable plan as most major features are left out of the Entry level plan.
Compare your own mentions before moving
Use the same keywords, platforms, and dates in both products before testing. See that you're getting relevant mentions.
Also note how many mentions you're getting.
For your product with ten Reddit and LinkedIn keywords, Mentionkit is the lowest price in this comparison.
However if you need broader reporting or a different platform mix, pick a bigger brand monitoring/social listening tool.
