Frameworks, and their device-based breakpoints, are a one-size-fits all solution. They have their place, mostly because they are cheaper. You can buy a suit off the rack and have tailored, but no amount of tailoring is going to make it fit as well as a bespoke suit. And at some point, if you haven't chosen your off-the-rack framework well, the tailoring is going to cause more problems than the use of a framework was ever going to solve.
This is really great advice for the rare opportunities that most interface developers get to build a truly bespoke solution.
