Balancing blogging with Stack Overflow

With limited time, I've found myself wondering often about the gain of answering my open question on stack overflow vs blogging about it. For those that have done both, how do you balance your time between those?

If it's on my blog it is like a personal learning journey. If I write a question on Stack Overflow it is forcing a more disciplined question and gaining peer review over time.

I enjoy the stack overflow contributions, but at the same time look at my blog small posting having declined significantly in volume.
