embracing the boring grind for content success

The Real Path to Content Growth

In a world where everyone is chasing the next shiny trend, it can feel tempting to constantly switch up your approach, format, or niche. However, the reality is that success often comes from consistency and focus.

Pick Your Lane

Deciding on a super narrow niche may sound counterintuitive, but this is where you begin. When you focus on one topic, one avatar, and one promise, you create clarity for your audience and yourself.

The 10-Block Loop

Once you’ve settled on your niche, execute what I call the '10-block loop'. Create one Instagram Reel a day for 10 days. After that, sort them by followers gained. Find the outlier and repeat that variable for the next 10. This allows you to consistently refine your content based on data rather than guesswork.

Stop Gathering, Start Creating

Most people fall into the trap of gathering too much info—podcasts, threads, notes. It turns into decision paralysis. Instead, mute everything that doesn’t serve you anymore and focus on actually creating and shipping content.

Build a Binge Bank

Understand that new followers typically need to consume around 4-5 minutes of your content before deciding to follow. So, create connective tissue between your videos. Encourage viewers to watch your next piece of content by saying things like, 'part 2 is over on my page'.

Master One Thing

Don’t spread yourself too thin. Focus on mastering one platform and one format first before thinking about branching out to YouTube, newsletters, or other platforms.

In conclusion, the algorithm will eventually recognize your value if you stay stubbornly consistent and focus on the boring grind. Slow and steady can make it seem like your results appeared overnight, but trust me, it’s all about that compounding effect.
