Astratide is a web app that aims to explain complex astrological concepts as simply and visually as possible — for people who want to understand how the planets are affecting them without having to learn all the complexity behind astrology.

Its core idea is a personal astrology timeline.
Astratide maps major planetary transits across your life using your birth chart, with views that let you explore what's happening today, across an entire year, or at different points in your timeline. It uses astronomical data from the Swiss Ephemeris rather than simple sun-sign horoscopes.

DEV·TV has always been about watching what's happening across the developer internet.

Releases.
Research.
Security.
Videos.
But Community Spotlight is different.
Instead of just reporting what happened, Spotlight gives interesting projects a moment on the screen.
Astratide is a good example of the kind of project I want to put there.
It's not another developer dashboard or another list of links.
It's a complete web experience built around making something complicated easier to understand visually.
And that's exactly the kind of thing that works surprisingly well on a TV.

That's the idea behind Spotlight.
📡 Spotlight is becoming its own channel
The regular DEV·TV channels watch the developer internet.
Spotlight lets the developer internet come to DEV·TV.
Someone builds something interesting.
It gets discovered.
It gets a moment on the TV.
And someone watching might discover a project they wouldn't have found otherwise.
That's the experiment I'm running with Community Spotlight.
