There are too many new AI models. So I put them on TV.
AI models are shipping so fast that I've stopped trying to keep up.
A new model appears.
Then another.
Then a reasoning variant.
Then a free version.
Then a model from a company I've never heard of.
By the time I've finished reading about one, there are five more.
And I don't really want another dashboard for this.
I want to see what's happening.
So I added a new channel to DEV·TV.
📺 NEW MODELS
It pulls new models appearing in the OpenRouter catalog and turns them into an actual TV broadcast.
Not a table.
Not a model comparison page.
Not another grid of cards.
Just programming.
NOW
A new model.
NEXT
Another one.
LATER
And another.
Each story gives you the useful bits:
- Model name
- Context window
- Pricing
- Description
Then it moves on.
You can leave DEV·TV running while you're working and occasionally look up and discover:
Oh. There's a new model.
That's the whole idea.
Why OpenRouter?
OpenRouter maintains a catalog of models from different providers, with metadata such as model names, context lengths, pricing and creation information.
That makes it useful for answering a simple question:
What's new?
DEV·TV takes that information and turns it into programming.
One important distinction: when DEV·TV says a model was "added 6d ago", that refers to when it appeared in the OpenRouter catalog — not necessarily when the model's creator originally released it.
This is what I want DEV·TV to become
When I started DEV·TV, the idea was simple:
A TV for the developer internet.
GitHub.
Hacker News.
DEV.
Hugging Face.
Security.
Papers.
Videos.
And now models.
The internet already has endless feeds for developers.
I didn't want to build another one.
I wanted to build the thing you can put on a second monitor and leave on.
Something that tells you what's happening without asking you to constantly check what's happening.
That's why I'm increasingly thinking about DEV·TV less like a dashboard and more like a small developer broadcast network.
You don't turn on a TV because you need to inspect a database.
You turn it on.
And something is already happening.
NEW MODELS is now on air.
And tomorrow, there'll probably be something new again.
Because, well...
there always is.
DEV·TV is open source
If you want to see how it works, the whole project is on GitHub:
https://github.com/shouvik12/devtv
It's a single-file, browser-based project with no backend or login.
If you have an idea for something that belongs on developer TV, I'm listening.
