Hello new devs, I'm almost still one of you. It wasn't long ago I was typing my fist line of HTML. I remember how overwhelming it was starting out....

Nice "Introduction To..."
Thank you Jordan. if you see any suggested improvements, please say so!
For front-end I think this is a great place to start. I've started my 8 year son on HTML to introduce design into his life and he's loving it. I started the same way but I never learned JavaScript, instead I focused on PHP to display dynamic sites. I don't doubt that JavaScript is powerful but back when I started learning all of it there was a lot of issues with browser support so I never felt the need to pick it up, and still don't for the projects I do.
That makes good sense. Your son started when he was eight! That is great, he'll know a lot by the time he's twenty.
That's what I'm hoping for. He's autistic but the high end of the spectrum. He grasps things like that very quickly
Okay. I'm glad you are making effort to be with, and teach your son. Whether the child is autistic or not, fathers have a God given responsibility to be with and teach their sons.
Sometimes he teaches me! He comes up and asks questions and I look up the answer and he's like yeah I already knew that and then start talking about it. I think it's his way of being able to have a conversation about something he's interested in without someone telling him that they don't know
Yes! I have heard many people say that in many ways their autistic children are a great blessing to them. Me and you should stay in touch. Do you have a Discord account?
I honestly haven't used it in a long time but I will get it back. That sounds great, I'd love to stay in touch!
Okay. I can link you to my account if that works.
Whatever works best for you, I'm more active on Twitter than anything but here are both handles of mine.

Ya... I don't use twitter, so discord works best, if that's okay.
Okay. I sent you a friend request.
This language is in one word 🤨
Okay, you mean that it should be written "JavaScript?"
Yes 🙌😎
JavaScript | MDN
JavaScript (JS) is a lightweight interpreted (or just-in-time compiled) programming language with first-class functions. While it is most well-known as the scripting language for Web pages, many non-browser environments also use it, such as Node.js, Apache CouchDB and Adobe Acrobat. JavaScript is a prototype-based, multi-paradigm, single-threaded, dynamic language, supporting object-oriented, imperative, and declarative (e.g. functional programming) styles.
Thanks. I'll fix that.
