Rails will scale much further these days than most people think. Make sure your team honestly weighs the trade offs before reaching for something different.
For example, my company runs an ethical ad platform on Rails which helps support open source projects. We currently serve > 2.5 million requests per day with our most critical endpoints averaging < 70 millisecond response times... half of that time being database related I/O.
And... we hope to be able to scale significantly on the Rails stack. 🤞

There's tons of demand, I can assure you that. And don't go on just the total number of jobs out there - you will have more airhostess than captains and maybe their openings are more too but does that mean you should pick the former?
