I am freelancing at the moment, but have been wanting to work at the studios/companies/teams that focus on creative technology.

My background is a combination of arts, storytelling, web dev, frontend, and creative coding. Thesedays, I am wondering if I should dive into Touch Designer, or focus more on web-related graphics like WebGL or XR. (Touch Designer is a great, convenient, impactful for audiovisuals, can be used with python or glsl. But it's a standalone visual program)

As a part of my research and decision making process, I'm googling relevant positions time to time to be updated with the trend/industry.

(I realized that the companies would remove the hiring posts after they find someone. So instead of saving the links, I'm copy&pasting the requirements and details just for future reference.)

We are looking for a Creative Technologist for our Marcom LA team. This is a role for a tech lead who is creatively driven to solve problems and deliver end-to-end integrated creative tech solutions. You understand creative production workflows and seek to develop the tech capabilities of Marcom by providing supporting tools or integrating with the technical tools team to reach solutions for the successful build and launch of digital campaigns.

You are an excellent communicator who can collaborate well with cross functional teams and our external partners. This position will work closely with the digital strategists, creative directors, copywriters, art directors, designers, and producers to conceptualize and develop digital campaigns for Apple Services across our digital advertising tech-stack.

Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related field or degree, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of proven experience in a creative technologist role, with experiences from a best-in-class agency, a client-side design team, or a creative shop.
Deep understanding and proficiency across a broad spectrum of technologies including: HTML5/CSS3/
JavaScript, XML, JSON, React, web and server programming and Responsive/Adaptive design.
Comfortable working with, batch processing, script-building, and extracting production ready assets from design files (Photoshop, Sketch, Figma, Illustrator, and InDesign).
Experience with ad tech in general and also with web animation frameworks/authoring tools.
Ad platform experience including Sizmek, Google Campaign Manager, Google Ad Studio, The Trade Desk, and DV360 a plus.
Programming experience on iOS platforms a plus.

Description
Guide team on Dynamic Creative Optimization, working with vendor teams and internal engineering teams to fortify and grow our DCO offering.

Collaborate with creative design team, production, internal tools team, and partners to conceive and implement planning and roadmaps.

Provide input and ideation for new creative formats that scale across our current programmatic stack.

Participate in the full lifecycle of creative development; including conceptualization, design, development, implementation, and validation. Develop and maintain internal documentation.

Advance design thinking through your knowledge of platform capabilities and limitations as you support the design team and work with partner engineering teams.

Work quickly with minimal provided documentation and technical support.

Work as an internal technical point of consultation for queries around digital creative standard methodologies, ad serving, ad ops, and other technical issues.

Provide best practices to team to reach Apple standards in design/code/animation for all campaigns.

Job Description

Our Experience team works on a variety of projects with realtime and interactive elements, from AR filters to custom mobile applications to concerts in fully virtual worlds or razor wielding robot arms and we are looking for mid level creative technologists to help us build those experiences.
Qualifications

The majority of our work uses 3D in one form or another and so we're really keen to hear from people with experience of or an interest in game engines, realtime graphics, animation, rigging, procedural graphics or any of the many skills required in game development.

We also love shaders and we use them in almost all aspects of our work, whether functional UI elements, complex realtime visual effects or fully simulated computer shader systems. If you can create shaders for WebGL, Unreal Engine or any of Unity's renderers we would love to hear from you.

We develop in various languages, mainly Javascript, C# and blueprints but we also use other platforms like OpenFrameworks, Cinder, Processing, Python and more, depending on what as the project requires, whether that be for physical computing, machine learning or building pipeline tools and processes. If you're good with one language and learning another or would like to expand your skills into other platforms then come and do it with us.
