A letter to myself.

Dear me,

If I only had a few words to say at this moment in time, they would be: You are doing enough. I know how easy it is to get caught up in the world around you when things seem to be moving at a million miles a minute. I know how easy it is to feel like you aren’t good enough when we have access to so much of the world at the touch of a finger. Just remember, your life is no one else’s but your own. Everyone walks their own path and has their own experiences, thoughts, doubts and successes. Just because someone else seems to have everything you strive for, doesn’t mean that you have nothing.

Share your ideas! Or at least write them down somewhere. And ask for help instead of getting too into your own head once in a while - you’re lucky to be surrounded by people who are so happy to provide it. Newsflash, it’s A-OK not to know everything! Trust me, your future self will thank you for it.

Remind yourself to focus on the important things in life - your family and friends, accomplishments and goals, hobbies and aspirations. Remind yourself that taking breaks (and occasional naps) does NOT mark the end of your productivity. Remind yourself to call your mom because she loves the living heck out of you. Spend less time fixating on the lives of other people and focus more energy on working towards achieving your own goals. Harness the success of others as inspiration instead of self-doubt. As motivation instead of insecurity. As eagerness instead of apprehension. You will get to where you want to be so long as you are your own greatest advocate.

You’re doing amazing sweetie.
