i saw Bryan's video too. i don't think that the problem is exposure. plenty of people have known about Linux for decades. i would spread the word, but i think the problem is really the usability of Linux itself. making the smallest changes requires significant effort to figure out.

command line this command line that. now edit these config files scattered throughout the system. what year is this?

package managers are actually one of the advantages of Linux, because it's a single place for all updates. but this advantage is squandered, as there is some core functionality missing. for example i can't easily rollback updates. i expect something like this to be painless and rock solid, in such an experimental system.

there is too much pride in unnecessary complexity. there is a lack of people innovating in a coherant vision. i think progress needs to be made in these areas first
