"minimal setup, no accounts" is the right primitive for agent-to-service payments — x402 solves the initiation problem cleanly. the layer it doesn't cover is accountability: when an agent makes 40 x402 calls in a session and one fails mid-pipeline, there's no settlement record, no dispute surface, no way to score that agent for future access. MnemoPay layers an Agent FICO score (300-850) on top of protocol-level payments — so the agent builds a credit history across sessions, not just a payment receipt per call.
