Is It Acceptable to Share NSFW Filter Removal Info for FaceFusion ?

Hi all,

I'm reaching out to gather your thoughts on a somewhat sensitive topic regarding FaceFusion.

I have technical knowledge of how to disable the NSFW filter in the latest version (3.2.0), and I'm considering whether it's appropriate to share this information publicly in the community. If I were to do so, I would provide a patch and explain how to apply it cleanly.

Here are a few things I want to make clear upfront:

🔹 I have verified methods that work with FaceFusion 3.2.0, which includes its updated NSFW detection logic.

🔹 If I share, it would include a modified script and instructions for applying it responsibly.

❌ I do not condone using a disabled NSFW filter to create or distribute illegal or harmful content.

⚖️ Personally, I view private use for personal experimentation as a gray area, though I acknowledge it depends on jurisdiction.

📛 If the materials used involve third-party copyrighted content, using them without permission would be a rights violation.

📄 FaceFusion’s license does not explicitly prohibit NSFW filter removal, but since version 3.2.0 strengthens NSFW detection, it’s likely that the devs are discouraging such modifications.

That said, I'd really like to know what you all think:

Is sharing this kind of patch, with proper disclaimers, something you would support or oppose?

Does sharing such info encourage misuse, even with good intentions?

How do you interpret the legal and ethical line in this context?

Thanks in advance for your feedback and perspective. I want to be transparent and responsible, and hearing from the community is important before deciding anything.

Best regards,
