I am 100% into the idea of a 'front end' conference! Any developer working with the front end should know some UX and marketing-tech basics, IMO, in addition to the tech we build the sites with; even if it's a static site! Expanding a 'front end' conference to include marketing and UX/Design talks makes a lot of sense to me. (Even if that might be a step further than you were thinking.)
