The right tool gets the task moving again. TaskFuel gives your agent 1,000+ tools on demand — search, video, enrichment, hosting. One balance, clear prices, no subscriptions. Keep your agent going.
We spent years at Alby building payments for the open web: small amounts, no accounts, no middlemen. Then agents showed up, and it clicked. They're the users who actually need to pay per call.
An agent can plan an entire project and then stall out because some tool wants a signup, a card, and an API key. So we built the piece in the middle. TaskFuel speaks x402, MPP and L402, and pays whichever one a service asks for. You top up with a card. Your agent finds a tool, sees the price, and pays for it.
One balance, nothing to wire up. And when we add a service, every agent gets it — you don't have to do a thing.
Our stack
The app is Next.js on Fly — accounts, API keys, credits and the 402 proxy that does the actual paying. Postgres with Drizzle, better-auth for sessions, Stripe for top-ups. On the payment side: viem and x402 for USDC on Base, mppx for MPP on Tempo. Agents connect over MCP, use our Skill or CLI.
The marketing site is Astro on Cloudflare Pages. UI is Tailwind and shadcn/ui. Sentry, PostHog and pino keep us honest about what's breaking and what's getting used.
And we use TaskFuel every day ourselves: content research, marketing images, brand boards, builds, deploys on a $0.01/hour VM.
