In my quest to learn and make games I love to build and play, I tried GameMaker Studio 2.3 and made an Asteroid Shooter game.
GameMaker was fun to try; however, creating UI with GameMaker will take a lot of effort; also, structuring the GML script carelessly could cause quite some bugs later.
So, my next plan is to try Godot 3.5! I heard Godot 4.0-beta2 has been released; however, let's stick with version 3.5.
Update: after toying with Godot, I found that I wouldn't say I liked GDScript much, so I resumed learning with the Unity engine.
Anyway, here's the finished game: https://teefan.itch.io/teefans-asteroid-shooter-2
