The Best text-based AI Tools for Productivity in 2024

To grow and develop as an IT professional, productivity is key, and AI writing assistants have become invaluable tools for accelerating the writing process. From idea generation to drafting and editing, these intelligent tools can save you countless hours and help you produce high-quality content more efficiently.

Which AI Writing Assistant is the best?

If you're looking for an AI writing assistant that can provide in-depth, nuanced explanations and analysis, Claude AI from Anthropic is a standout choice.
I particularly like Claude for its ability to offer detailed, well-reasoned responses to complex queries, making it an excellent tool for research, analysis, and exploring ideas in depth.
From what I've seen, Claude's knowledge base spans a wide range of topics, and it excels at breaking down intricate concepts and presenting information in a clear, engaging manner.

What Is the Best Free text-based AI Writing Tool?

While Claude AI offers a robust free version, it's not the only free AI writing assistant worth considering.
Perplexity AI is my second favourite, providing similar advantages to Claude in terms of intelligent, substantive responses.
However, unlike Claude's free version, Perplexity AI does not currently support document or image uploads.

Which text-based AI supports document upload?

If you are looking for a free option with document and image support, you might consider Anthropic's Claude, which offers a limited free plan with this capability.

Which AI Tool Is the Most Convenient to Use?

For sheer convenience and accessibility, Meta's AI assistant on WhatsApp is hard to beat. With this tool, you can effortlessly pull out an AI writing assistant right within your WhatsApp conversations, making it a handy choice for quickly getting answers, resources, and writing assistance on the go.

Meta's WhatsApp AI is particularly useful for tasks like research, fact-checking, and ideation. Simply type your query or writing prompt, and the AI will provide relevant information and suggestions within the chat interface. While it may not be as robust as some dedicated AI writing assistants, the WhatsApp AI's convenience and integration with a widely-used messaging platform make it a valuable tool to have in your productivity arsenal.

Other text-based AI tools every writer must know!

Beyond my top contenders above, there are several other AI writing tools worth considering:

Google's Gemini

Gemini, developed by Google, Gemini is known for its strong language understanding and generation capabilities, making it a solid choice for a wide range of writing tasks, from creative writing to technical documentation.

Jasper

Jasper is a popular AI writing assistant that excels at long-form content creation, such as blog posts, articles, and even books.
Although Jasper works better as a marketing assistant, it works great for writing and creating content.
Its advanced language models and customizable templates make it a powerful tool for writers and content creators.

Copy AI

Copy AI as its name suggests, specializes in copywriting tasks, such as crafting compelling ad copy, email subject lines, and social media posts. Its user-friendly interface and niche focus make it a valuable addition to any marketer's toolkit.

As the AI technology continues to grow, we can expect to see even more powerful and versatile tools hit the market.
For now, however, assistants like Claude, Perplexity, Meta's WhatsApp AI, and the others mentioned above offer efficient and effective solutions for boosting your productivity and taking your writing to new heights.

Thanks, it's cool.
I recommend docuopia : AI-Generated Diagrams

In addition to using AI to write documents, Docuopia can also convert text into diagrams, such as flowcharts, architecture diagrams, timing diagrams, and other diagrams used in research and development.

Hi, Oscar. Could you tell me why you think so, and how I broke the guidelines? Thank you.

Sure. Firstly, the entire article is flagged as AI assisted or generated (using gptzero.me/)

Image description

I do understand that these detectors can be inaccurate when concerning non-academic works, but since the topic of your post is about AI tools for productivity in writing -- specifically your favorite ones -- this leads me to believe that this is article is AI assisted or generated.

This leads me to your second question; the Dev.to guidelines state that AI assisted articles must disclose the fact that they were generated or assisted by AI in the post (dev.to/guidelines-for-ai-assisted-...).

All that being said, if I am way off my line here, and completely incorrect, please let me know.

Hi, Oscar.
I really appreciate your thoroughness, but this content wasn't AI generated.
Granted, though, that I had help or assistance from some AI tools.

But don't we all use AI tools? Do we have to keep adding a disclaimer every time?

Nonetheless, I will add that it was AI assisted to keep with the guidelines.

Thank you, again, for the thoroughness and pointing it out.
