The Mahaetenders web portal is the authorized eProcurement solution for the Government of Maharashtra, meant for easy tendering and bidding for vendors and government departments. This web-based marketplace allows suppliers a transparent and secure method of accessing tender documents, online bidding, and tracking tender submissions effortlessly. Vendors have access to Maha Tenders, view corrigenda, and undertake tender activities within a single unified system. The web portal implements advanced electronic technologies such as Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) for ensuring a safe transaction environment and la evel playing field.
The online registration at eProcurement Maharashtra is the first step for interested vendors wanting to participate in the projects of the government. Initially, the vendors need to visit the official website and click on the Online Bidder Enrollment link. Here, at this step, they need to create a login ID, fill out their email address, and enter a correct number for their cell phones. After registering, the details provided are permanent, which cannot be altered at a later time.
The vendor then has to fill out company information, such as the company name, registration number, address, details of the director or partner, PAN and GST information, and year of establishment. Companies are also enabled to state their category, i.e., Micro, Small, or medium enterprise or firm. Then, contact details such as the name of the representative, designation, and communication details have to be provided to get updates from the portal. After submitting the form, the bidder receives an acknowledgment email. By validating this mail link, the account is activated, enabling the vendor to enter using e-Tenders for Maharashtra tenders.
For a seamless Mahatenders login, the vendors have to configure their system in advance. The portal needs a newer version of Java to facilitate electronic transactions. Above all, the vendors require a current Class 3 DSC granted by a licensed Certifying Agency in India. The DSC is embedded in a tamper-resistant USB token and functions as the electronic personality for verification purposes, such that all login, bidding, and other activities on eProcurement Maharashtra are both secure and auditable.
Vendors are required to upload certain documents before bidding to fill out their Mahatenders profile. A list includes the business registration certificate, GST registration, PAN card, and a valid DSC. As per the type of bidder, some bidders might need documents such as MSME registration, Udyog Aadhaar, or details of the company. Foreign bidders are required to furnish details of the country of origin. Uploading such documents helps a company follow Maharashtra government procurement regulations and makes it easy for a company to participate in e-tendering.
The registration is a zero-cost one on Mahaetenders. Tendering, however, does attract some costs. Tenderers have to pay a tender bidding charge, fixed recently at ₹500 per tender, and tender document charges, which depend on the issuing authority. Tendering documents also require a corresponding Earnest Money Deposit (EMD), refundable at the conclusion of tendering proceedings, for most tendering documents. Checking on Mahatenders.gov.in for up-to-date charges is highly recommended before tendering a bid.
