Ript Card Scan Access Depends On Your Phone

Ript Card Scan Access Depends On Your Phone

A prospective Ript Card Scan user faces two different entry points: a Play test link and a form for updates. The appropriate route depends on the device in their hand.

As of 6 October 2026, Ript's published wording gives Android users a path into testing. It does not describe the iPhone or Seeker versions as generally available. That distinction matters because registering interest is not the same as joining an active test.

Android users have the documented testing route

Ript says Android users can open its Play test link, join the testing group and install Card Scan. This is the only platform-specific route on the page that includes an installation step.

If you use Android and want to try the app, check that the link takes you to the expected Google Play testing flow and that the device and Google account you intend to use are eligible to join. A test build may also differ from a general public release, so the presence of an install option should not be read as evidence of finished features or broad availability.

The dated wording establishes Ript's stated access process. It does not independently verify Play Store behaviour, app performance or whether a particular phone will support the test.

iPhone and Seeker users are being directed to updates

The position is different for the other two platforms.

Ript describes iPhone beta approval as pending and Seeker approval as being in its final stages. For those users, the documented action is to leave a name through the interest form for updates rather than follow the Android testing route.

"Pending" and "in its final stages" indicate different points in an approval process, but neither phrase provides a release date. They should not be treated as confirmation that approval has since been granted or that installation is available now.

An iPhone or Seeker user deciding what to do should therefore check the live Ript page for any wording that has changed since 6 October 2026. If the page still presents only the interest form for that platform, registering provides a way to request updates; it does not itself install the app or guarantee future access.

The form does not require a Ript account or wallet

Ript also says no wallet or account is required to register interest. That lowers the immediate commitment involved in submitting the form, but it should not be confused with the requirements that may apply if access later opens.

Before submitting details, check what information the form requests and whether you are comfortable providing it. Before installing any eventual build, review the current store listing, developer identity, device permissions and applicable privacy information. Those checks need to be made against the live surfaces available at the time, not inferred from the dated access announcement.

The practical split is straightforward: Android users have a documented Play testing route, while iPhone and Seeker users have a documented updates route. Until Ript changes its public wording, the Play test link and the interest form serve different purposes rather than offering interchangeable ways into Card Scan.
