Looking for two Java devs who want to test their skills in a mock interview

Hi everyone,

I'm Aleksei, a senior engineer. I started in tech support and moved into development. I run a YouTube channel for IT specialists, and I'm making a video series about how to prepare for your first IT job.

For this series, I'm looking for two people who want to test their skills in a mock interview:

  • Live coding interview: you solve a task and explain your thinking out loud.
  • Theory interview: I ask the questions real interviewers ask, with follow-up questions.

How it works

  1. A short call first (about 20 minutes). I ask about your background, how you prepared, and where you think you are strong or weak.
  2. The mock interview (about 45–60 minutes). I run it the way a real interviewer would. At the end, you get honest feedback.
  3. Both calls are recorded and published on my channel.

What you get

  • A realistic interview with detailed feedback
  • A review of your CV, portfolio and LinkedIn profile
  • A clear list of what to improve next

It's free. I won't try to sell you anything during the calls.

The goal is to show what a real interview looks like, mistakes included. Mistakes are normal, and nobody will make fun of you.

Who I'm looking for

  • You're learning, or looking for your first IT job, in Java
  • Your English is good enough for an interview
  • You're OK with the calls being recorded and published
  • You're free next week

To apply, email me with:

  • Your background in 2–3 sentences
  • Your stack, and how long you've been learning
  • Which interview you want: live coding or theory
  • Why you want to test yourself now
  • (Optional) a link to your GitHub or CV

I'll contact the people I choose by next week
