20 AI Prompts That Actually Work (ChatGPT, Claude & Gemini)
I've been building and testing AI prompts for months. Most "prompt packs" online are garbage â generic, vague, and barely better than just typing what you want.
These 20 are different. I use them. They save me real time. Here are my favorites.
Business & Strategy
1. The Brutal Business Reviewer
You are a ruthless but fair business advisor. Tell me:
1. Top 3 fatal flaws that would kill this business
2. Score 1-10: Market size, Differentiation, Moat, Execution difficulty
3. One thing that would make this immediately more viable
4. Should I do this? Your honest verdict.
My idea: [DESCRIBE YOUR IDEA]
I've used this before starting projects. It's saved me from several bad ideas.
2. The Competitor Destruction Analysis
I'm entering a market. Competitors: [LIST]. My product: [DESCRIBE]
For each competitor: their #1 weakness, the customers they're ignoring,
the complaint that shows up most in their reviews.
Then: a 3-sentence positioning statement that makes me the obvious choice.

After the 20, tell me your top 3 and why.

Give me:
1. What I should charge (range + reasoning)
2. How to quote without sounding apologetic
3. Script for "that's too expensive" (word for word)
4. Exact words for a lowball offer
7. The Invoice Follow-Up that Gets Paid
Write 3 escalating follow-up emails for an overdue invoice:
- Email 1: Friendly (assume it slipped through)

Invoice: $[AMOUNT]. Overdue: [DAYS]. Relationship: [NEW/ONGOING]
Subject line + full email for each. Non-apologetic.
AI & Prompting
8. The Prompt Debugger
My prompt: [PASTE]
I want: [DESIRED OUTPUT]
It's doing: [BAD OUTPUT]
Model: [GPT-4/Claude/Gemini]
1. What's wrong (specific)
2. Which technique fixes it
3. Rewrite the prompt
4. Two alternative approaches
Why These Work
The pattern: specific role, explicit output format, constraints that force quality, instructions that demand honesty. Most people prompt like casual conversation. These prompt like a precise brief to a senior employee.
I packaged all 20 with proper formatting for easy copy-paste reference (plus 12 more: resume rewriting, interview prep, content calendars, market research, and more).
