Separate the source of truth from the state you can rebuild

A rate-limit counter and a customer invoice should not carry the same storage contract. One expires or can be rebuilt; the other is a durable business record.

Start with the workload

Spedo focuses on hot, rebuildable KV/JSON state in a single-node RESP runtime. Useful candidates include temporary counters, ephemeral sessions and precomputed JSON.

Keep the boundary explicit

Keep authoritative records in the primary database. Check the documented command support before connecting a client, and test what the application does when its hot state is rebuilt.

Measure your own path

The project includes a Docker quickstart and benchmark harness. Run a representative workload and record the conditions alongside the result.
