How much data for 7 days in Tokyo? Dated prices, not a brand list

I copied these numbers from the live checkout pages on 29 Aug 2026. Recheck before you pay. I earn a commission if you buy Airalo through the Travelpayouts link below. Holafly and Ubigi are listed because hiding them would be a lie; those buttons are not tracked from this account yet.

The week-shaped question

If you are walking Shinjuku with maps, stories, and the occasional call, you are not a 1GB person. You are also not a satellite uplink. Most first trips sit between 5GB and 10GB for the week, or they buy a day-capped “unlimited” plan and stop watching the meter.

What the three brands listed on 29 Aug 2026

  • Airalo Japan 7-day 5GB: $10. Tight if you upload video every night.
  • Airalo Japan 7-day 10GB: $17. The boring default for one phone. SoftBank +1 on their Japan page.
  • Airalo Japan 7-day unlimited: $27. Fair use: 3GB high-speed per 24 hours from activation, then 1 Mbps until the next 24-hour reset. Hotspot allowed. Source: Airalo Fair Use Policy.
  • Holafly Japan 7-day unlimited: $27.50. Official Japan page: share 1GB per day. That is not a family plan.
  • Ubigi 10GB / 7 days: $14 on their Japan card, networks listed as KDDI and NTT Docomo. A 7-day unlimited Ubigi SKU was a 404 that day. Do not copy a blog’s $25 guess.

Two phones in one couple: buy two eSIMs or a pocket Wi-Fi. Holafly’s 1GB/day share is not a second phone.
