Which URL is Easier to Use and Better for SEO? ๐Ÿš€

Hey Dev.to community! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Iโ€™m setting up my portfolio as a frontend developer transitioning into cybersecurity, and I need your help deciding between three hosting options for my "Coming Soon" page. Which URL is easier to remember/type and better for SEO? Here are my options:

  1. umairshakoor.github.io/umairshakoor ๐Ÿ“‚

    • Pros: Free, tied to my GitHub profile, great for showcasing code.
    • Cons: Longer URL, subpath might dilute SEO.
  2. umairshakoor.netlify.app โšก

    • Pros: Clean domain, fast redirects, developer-friendly platform.
    • Cons: Still a subdomain, less brand control.
  3. umairshakoor.vercel.app ๐ŸŒ

    • Pros: Short, modern, optimized for speed and developer tools.
    • Cons: Relies on Vercelโ€™s ecosystem, no custom domain yet.

Iโ€™ve set up redirects so all point to my main site, but Iโ€™m unsure which to promote as my primary link. Ease of use is key for sharing with peers and employers, and SEO is crucial for visibility as I grow. What do you think? Any experiences or tips? ๐Ÿ’ก

Looking forward to your thoughts! ๐Ÿ™Œ
