What I Built
I built TouchGrass AI — Your Offline Adventure Companion, a web application that encourages students and people who spend too much time on screens to explore the real world.
Users can enter their mood, available time, and interests to receive personalized offline activity suggestions, such as:
- Going for a walk in nature.
- Playing outdoor sports with friends.
- Exploring nearby places.
- Reading a book or starting a new hobby.
- Organizing a screen-free challenge with friends.
The goal is simple: use AI to help people spend less time scrolling and more time living.

How I Built It
I designed TouchGrass AI as a web application using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
The application uses an open-weight AI model through Ollama to generate personalized offline activity recommendations based on user preferences. The interface is designed to be simple, responsive, and easy to use.
Key features include:
- AI-powered activity recommendations.
- Custom screen-free challenges.
- Daily offline goals.
- A simple interface to track completed activities.
- Suggestions based on available time and interests.
I focused on creating a practical application that uses AI to encourage healthier digital habits rather than increasing screen time.
