Yes there is. but it is a hard one. As the market in itself is constantly changing, new tools will be introduced. a real good devops engineer should not only understand architecturally how to solve a problem, but also know which tools are the best at scale as well as understand the nature of applications it will support. Usually the natural career path for DevOps engineer is either they become platform architects or move into management.
