I built The Quiet Signal, a ghost-story generator. Choose a place, a keepsake, and a mood to create a story.

How I Built It
The interface uses HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The optional SmolLM2 open model runs in the browser with Transformers.js. If it cannot load, the app uses built-in story templates.
Why Does open Innovation Matter?
The open model runs on the visitor’s device, so prompts are not sent to an AI server and no paid API key is needed. The first model download requires internet, and speed depends on the device.
