What I Built
MenuMitra AI helps local restaurants translate their menus into languages like Marathi, Hindi, and English. Restaurant owners can enter dish names and prices and generate translations using AI.
How I Built It
- Frontend: React + Vite
- Backend: Python + FastAPI
- AI: Gemma running locally through Ollama
Why Open Innovation Matters
Using open-weight AI enables local inference, offers more control over data, and can reduce dependence on paid AI APIs. MenuMitra AI aims to make multilingual menus accessible to small businesses.
Business Potential
Restaurants and cafés could use MenuMitra AI to serve customers who speak different languages. Future features could include printable menus and custom branding.
