Looking for tutorials

Hello!

So I've started learning how to use PHP and SQL with my friend earlier this year, and really want to create a forum system. The thing is, all my ideas that I have thought of seem stupidly over-complicated and unnecessary. Is there any online tutorials that could help me? Thanks!

nothing is overcomplicated and unnecessary when it comes to the raw idea. Out if those overcomplicated and unnecessary thoughts rise workable idea. So don't stop thinking.

Regarding the learning, its quite simple all you have to do is a little search. Even youtube got some good stuff for beginners. Just check it out.
