For roughly $38-39 - 1,000,000 VND at the gate - a Da Nang visitor can ride one of the world's longest cable cars to a resort perched near 1,500 meters, where fog moves through the stone hands of the Golden Bridge and Jules Verne-themed rides fill three underground levels. The 2026 Ticket Price and Who Pays What

Standard adult entry: 1,000,000 VND (~$38-39). Children between 1m and 1.4m tall: 800,000 VND (~$31). Kids under 1m: free. One ticket covers the cable car, the Golden Bridge, and Fantasy Park - no separate charge for moving between those once you're inside.

Da Nang residents with valid local ID pay a discounted rate: 650,000 VND on weekdays, 700,000 on weekends and public holidays; children get 550,000 VND weekday / 600,000 VND weekend. Prices have held in roughly the same 750,000-1,250,000 VND band for a couple of years. What changed on January 1, 2026 is not the price - it's the validity window.

What the 3-Day Pass Actually Does

Every standard cable car ticket is now valid for three consecutive days with unlimited rides - replacing the old single-ride rule. If you register for the multi-day option, Ba Na requires a FaceID scan before your first ascent so gate staff can confirm re-entry on days two and three. As of May 18, 2026, Sun World dropped the FaceID step for guests doing a straightforward single visit; it only kicks in for people activating the multi-day pass.

In practice: a family splitting the Golden Bridge on one morning and Fantasy Park the next gets real value from this change. Someone doing a half-day stop as part of a wider central Vietnam route won't notice the difference either way.

Getting There From Da Nang - and Where I Usually Step In

The cable car base station sits 25-35 km southwest of central Da Nang: 40 to 60 minutes by car depending on traffic and your starting point. No public bus runs door-to-door; options are a private transfer, a scooter (the road climbs and can be slick after rain), or a group tour with transport folded in. Parking exists at the base if you ride your own bike.

• Linh Ung Pagoda - the highest pagoda in central Vietnam at roughly 1,500 m, with a 30-meter Buddha statue and the 1923 Debay Wine Cellar just below it.

Moon Castle and Eclipse Square feature heavily in current marketing around the 3-day pass - worth knowing neither is a 2026 opening. Eclipse Square dates to Sun World's 2022 Summer Festival; both are standard resort grounds, not new additions.

Fog, Timing, and the Honest Answer About Photos

Cloud cover at nearly 1,500 m is a regular feature, not an edge case. March through September is the more reliable window for clear views; October through December is rainy season, with more frequent fog and occasional weather closures at altitude. Arriving right at opening - park hours generally run 7-8 a.m. to 10 p.m., last cable car ascent around 9:30 p.m. - beats both afternoon cloud build-up and the bulk of day-trippers.

One day comfortably covers the Golden Bridge, a loop through French Village, and two or three hours in Fantasy Park; most visitors are back down by mid-afternoon. Whether the ticket is "worth it" compared to Marble Mountains or Hoi An's old town comes down to what you're there for - the cable car and the bridge are genuinely unlike anything else in reach from Da Nang, and that's a legitimate reason to go once.
