Choosing a JavaScript UI framework isn't just about trends anymore.
Every framework has strengths depending on the type of application you're building.
For personal projects or startups, lightweight frameworks can be an excellent choice.
Enterprise software introduces a different set of challenges:
Large datasets
Complex business logic
Advanced dashboards
Accessibility requirements
Long-term maintenance
Consistent UI across large teams
That's why many enterprise teams prioritize complete development platforms over assembling multiple independent libraries.
One option I've been evaluating is Sencha Ext JS.
It includes a comprehensive set of enterprise UI components, powerful data grids, charting, theming, responsive layouts, and mature tooling—all designed to work together.
Compared to managing numerous third-party packages, having an integrated platform can simplify development and maintenance, particularly for large business applications.
That doesn't mean every project should use Ext JS.
React, Vue, Angular, and newer frameworks continue to be excellent choices depending on project goals.
The important thing is selecting the framework that matches your application's requirements rather than following industry trends.
What framework are you using for enterprise development in 2026, and what made you choose it?
