I like movie soundtracks in this context, like "into the spider-verse" as one, just some familiar melodies I've heard a lot of times before.
I used to listen to film soundtracks when writing fiction as a kid, but I never thought about listening to them to do work. I'm gonna have to try that now.
When I really need to think, especially when I’m at a stage where I need a clear head and quiet, I work in complete silence. Any kind of noise just gets in the way.
But when I’m doing simpler designs or small code changes, I like to put something on in my headphones. And there are no limits there, anything from film scores to old rock to black metal 🤘
